Bangladesh's Democracy 2017: According to Its People

A Survey of the Bangladeshi PeopleThis survey, conducted in January and February 2017, captures the diverse range of attitudes towards democracy and elections, identity, and violence, and compares them with similar surveys carried out in 2006 and 2015.

Overall, Bangladeshis are more optimistic in 2017 compared to 2015, as reflected in responses across a variety of questions, and significant increases in the number of respondents saying both the country and their local area are heading in the right direction.
