Survey
The State of Bangladesh's Political Governance, Development, and Society: According to its Citizens 2019
The State of Bangladesh's Political Governance, Development, and Society: According to its Citizens is part of a national-level citizen perception survey conducted every year by The Asia Foundation Bangladesh office.
Principal themes of the survey include citizens' perception of Bangladesh's society, politics, and economy; perception of political governance and representation; citizenship; democracy; inclusive development; digitalized Bangladesh; social media's role in influencing policy-making; and social cohesion, trust, and Rohingya issues. The survey started by asking the respondents about the path the country is following—whether they feel that Bangladesh is heading in the right or wrong direction with respect to social, political, and development/economic domains. This year the Foundation is happy to collaborate on this survey with the Brac Institute of Governance and Development.
