Timor-Leste Covid-19 Survey Round 4 - December 2020

The Government of Timor-Leste has policies to address the socio-economic shock brought about by Covid-19.

The 8th State of the Emergency declaration was in effect for 30 days, and there was one active case of Covid-19 during the week the survey was conducted. The research aims to understand the Timorese people's concerns and challenges and their attitudes towards the government during Covid-19. Between December 3 to 7, 2020, a local research partner conducted 403 phone interviews. This methodology was unchanged for the perception surveys conducted in February and May 2021. In the December survey, more respondents felt that the country was increasingly going in the right direction. Covid-19 is perceived as the biggest challenge facing the country by respondents, followed by the weak economy and politics. The results of this survey series will help inform the Government of Timor-Leste and donors on developing policies and programs relating to Covid-19. This research is supported by Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Timor-Leste Levantamento Covid-19 Ronda 4 Dezembru 2020
