The Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Award and Fellowship program fosters dialogue and understanding between Asians and Americans noted for their contributions in government, business, academia, media, and the arts. Honoring the talents and achievements of the late Dr. Chang-Lin Tien, former chair of TAF’s board of trustees and former chancellor of the University of California at Berkeley, the program is in keeping with TAF’s commitment to facilitating a collegial network of established leaders throughout Asia and the Pacific.
The Chang-Lin Tien Distinguished Leadership Award honors illustrious leaders who through extraordinary accomplishment, creative vision, and inspired leadership best exemplify Dr. Tien’s and TAF’s commitment to working for an open, peaceful, and prosperous Asia-Pacific region. The award is accompanied by tailored professional networking tours to bring these distinguished individuals into conversation with leaders and communities in the United States.
