Review of the Standard Operating Procedures for the Identification, Protection, and Referral of Victims of Human Trafficking

The standard operating procedures (SOP) for the Identification, Protection, and Referral of Victims of Human Trafficking was launched in Sri Lanka in 2015 under the guidance of the National Anti Human Trafficking Task Force (NAHTTF).

This review evaluates the role of the NAHTTF in leading the processes and guidelines laid out in the SOP, assesses the implementation and operationalization of the SOP, and understands the challenges and best practices. The report also makes recommendations, where necessary and appropriate, to enhance its effectiveness.
