Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Bhuiyan is the Director of Finance, Grants, and Administration at The Asia Foundation in Bangladesh and a key member of its senior leadership team. He brings over 18 years of experience in financial management, grants oversight, partnership management, organizational operations, and compliance across international development organizations and think tank institutions.
In his current role, he provides strategic leadership across finance, grants, administration, procurement, and people & culture. He ensures strong financial and grants management systems, aligned with institutional policies and diverse bilateral, multilateral, and private donor requirements. His leadership has enhanced internal controls, strengthened compliance, and supported consistently positive audit outcomes.
Before joining The Asia Foundation, he held senior roles at Sightsavers, ADD International, VSO, BRAC University, and the private sector. Kamrul holds an MBA in Finance from BRAC University and Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting, complemented by multiple professional certifications.
