Program
Sustaining Peace Through Women’s Economic Strength
In Bangsamoro, we help women entrepreneurs and former combatants build livelihoods that support families, local economies, and lasting peace.
Women have played a central role in rebuilding communities across the Bangsamoro following decades of conflict, yet many continue to lack access to markets, finance, and economic opportunity.
The Accelerate Bangsamoro program strengthens women’s entrepreneurship, financial opportunity, and market access while helping to build resilient local economies where everyone can participate and succeed.
Impact
Strengthened business and financial skills for more than 1,000 women entrepreneurs
Supported dozens of women-led enterprises through capital investments and business expansion
Helped hundreds of former women combatants and family members successfully reintegrate through sustainable livelihoods
Increased monthly income of women participants by as much as 500 percent
approach
Working with women entrepreneurs, former combatants, government institutions, civil society, and the private sector, the program combines enterprise development with stronger market systems, financial access, and institutional partnerships. By strengthening women’s economic participation, the program contributes to both household prosperity and long-term peace and stability in Mindanao.
