Improving Access to Public Services and Policymaking 

The PEDULI program addressed some of Indonesia's deepest forms of social exclusion by supporting religious minorities, people with disabilities, indigenous communities, vulnerable children, survivors of human rights abuses, and waria communities who were often excluded from services and disconnected from decision-making. Funded by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the program worked across 26 provinces to strengthen responsive policies, expand access to legal identity and social protection, and build community solidarity and participation. PEDULI reached approximately 120,000 people directly and indirectly supported more than 40 million people, helping individuals obtain legal identity documents, access social protection, and engage in policymaking processes.
