Preparing Korea's Digital Workforce

Korea needs talent for fast-growing digital fields, and we help young people gain the skills and employer connections to enter new tech careers.

As Korea’s digital economy expands, demand for skilled workers in data centers, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure continues to grow.

Skills2Work–Seoul, part of TAF’s regional Future Skills Alliance, prepares young people for emerging careers by strengthening technical skills, workplace readiness, and industry connections.

Working with universities, schools, technology partners, and employers, the program combines practical technical training with mentoring, industry engagement, and experiential learning. Its approach helps expand opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds while strengthening Korea’s future digital workforce.

APPROACH

Skills2Work–Seoul adopts a holistic, experiential approach that goes beyond traditional technical training. In addition to building foundational skills in areas such as AI, networking, and cybersecurity, the program integrates digital ethics and career-oriented learning. Participants engage with experts from across sectors—including industry professionals, startups, academia, and government—gaining diverse perspectives on career pathways. The program emphasizes practical, hands-on exercises over lecture-based instruction to maintain engagement and deepen learning. Complemented by mentoring sessions and industry site visits, this approach equips learners with both technical competencies and the broader skills needed to navigate the workforce.
