Driving Tourism Businesses in Cambodia

We help small enterprises in Cambodia’s tourism sector adopt digital tools, strengthen financial skills, and build more resilient businesses.

Vee Together – Driving Tourism Businesses in Cambodia supports tourism-dependent small businesses in Cambodia by expanding access to digital financial services and business education.

Funded by Visa and implemented in partnership with Wing Bank and microfinance initiative Good Return, the program works with tourism authorities, business associations, and financial service providers to help businesses—especially women-led and rural enterprises—adopt digital payments, strengthen financial literacy, and improve resilience.

A participant leads a hands-on session during a workshop supporting Cambodian tourism SMEs.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The program has set a target of training more than 5,000 tourism-sector MSMEs in financial literacy, digital tools, and business management.

Key Objectives Include:

  • Increasing the adoption of digital payments and online marketing platforms
  • Strengthening collaboration with local tourism authorities, financial institutions, and business associations to sustain MSME support networks
  • Prioritizing outreach to women-led and rural businesses to expand access to digital finance

OUR APPROACH

Through a three-module learning management system and targeted business mentoring, Vee Together helps tourism MSMEs strengthen financial management, digital adoption, and resilience planning. By working through local tourism institutions and financial partners, the initiative embeds support mechanisms within existing ecosystems rather than delivering one-off training. This partnership-driven model promotes sustainable adoption of e-payments, improved access to capital, and longer-term institutional support for MSMEs.
